During 2022, Metinvest Group’s Zaporizhstal established the production of eight new types of cold-rolled and hot-rolled steel for key domestic and foreign customers.
Zaporizhstal’s hot-rolled products product portfolio has been replenished with three types of rolled coils and three types of sheet metal, which were previously produced at Metinvest’s Mariupol enterprises. In particular, Zaporizhstal began to produce hot-rolled sheets with a thickness of 8 mm to 120 mm. Atypical products for the mill “1680” are extremely necessary for domestic enterprises for the production of building metal structures.
Also, metallurgists of Zaporizhstal have mastered the technology of production of two types of cold-rolled coils. The first is a roll measuring 1.5-2.0 x 1370-1500 mm of double mass without a weld, which is in demand in construction and mechanical engineering. The second is rolled products measuring 0.5-0.6 x 1250 mm from steels that are intended for further application of zinc coating. Such coils are needed by enterprises that produce coated rolled products, corrugated board, light steel thin-walled structures and other products by cold profiling.
In total, in 2022, almost 10 thousand tons of new assortment products were shipped to key customers of the enterprise. Zaporizhstal’s products meet the high requirements of international quality standards, and will continue to be used in the construction industry, mechanical engineering, pipe industry and the household sector.
In total, Metinvest Group’s metallurgical enterprises in Ukraine started producing 24 new products in 2022. Most of the new products have been mastered in the segment of sectional, hot-rolled coils and sheets and steel semi-finished products. There are also new positions in the categories of cold-rolled and plate products.
