Metinvest Group of Rinat Akhmetov and Vadim Novinsky donated 1,610 medical kits to four Zaporizhia medical institutions. Metinvest Group allocated about UAH 700,000 to purchase vitally important medicines.
“Now we do not produce metal, but we are not sitting idle at such a difficult time for all of us and our Ukraine. Metinvest has launched a real humanitarian front: we collect and transport humanitarian aid to Ukrainians, organize shelter for internally displaced people. Besides, Metinvest helps hospitals in Zaporizhia with first-aid medicine to save lives. All our forces and possibilities are focused on supporting each other and Ukraine”, noted Olexandr Myronenko, Head of the Metinvest Humanitarian Mission Coordination Center in Zaporizhia and General Director of Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Group.
On March 17, 2022, four city hospitals in Zaporizhia received kits with medicines to complete operating rooms, dressing rooms and manipulation rooms. The medical kits contain the most essential medicines and supplies: surgical instruments and consumables, intubation equipment, antibiotics, painkillers, solutions for intravenous infusion, hemostatics and anticoagulants, as well as personal protective equipment for doctors. The composition of the medical kits was determined in coordination with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine according to the needs of local medical facilities.
It’s worth noting that on March 11 Metinvest Youth volunteers also handed over medicines for women and babies recently moved to the Zaporizhia maternity hospital. The medical kits contained medications for intensive care, intravenous systems and catheters, and other items.
