“Zaporizhstal” Systematically Helps Medical Institutions of Zaporozhye

Zaporizhstal, as a socially responsible enterprise, annually provides systematic support to hospitals, implements a variety of social and charitable programs aimed at maintaining a healthy lifestyle of the citizens.

As a support of the medical institutions of the city, for 5 months of 2017, Zaporizhstal Works allocated about 180 thousand hryvnias.

In particular, the Works purchased medical equipment and furniture for the Zaporozhye Children’s Hospital No. 1 in located in Kosmichesky residential district. For these purposes, the company allocated 100 thousand hryvnias.

«Over a year in our hospital, more than five thousand small patients from all parts of the city are treated. Thanks to Zaporizhstal, the sojourn of young patients in the hospital became even more comfortable and pleasant. Good conditions in the hospital help the children to recover faster», — noted the chief doctor of the City Children’s Hospital No. 1 Valentina Likhacheva.

In addition, in 2017 with the financial support of Zaporizhstal, two projects will implemented aimed at improving the material and technical base of medical facilities. Within the framework of the social initiatives competition “We are the city”, the Works financed the projects of Zaporozhye city multi-field children’s hospital and the Central Clinical Hospital of Zavodskiy district for a total of more than 76 thousand hryvnia.

In 2016, Zaporizhstal Works sent more than 130 thousand hryvnias to support the city’s medical facilities. In particular – 30 thousand hryvnias – to repair the premises and purchase new furniture in the department of newborns of the 5th city children’s hospital. The enterprise also financed the acquisition of three pulse oximeters for the Zaporozhye city multi-field children’s hospital No. 5. The cost of the devices amounted to more than 50 thousand hryvnias.

Zaporizhstal Works, on a permanent basis, helps medical institutions of the city in the framework of the charity marathon “Love has mercy”.
