All 138 action items foreseen by the labour contract of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works” are completely realised in the first half of 2014.
Andrey Luchenko, Human Resources Director has noticed that all social privileges and guarantees maintain in force but salary at the enterprise for the last six months increased.
According to Valery Sedov, the Chairman of the Zaporozhye regional committee of trade union of metallurgists of Ukraine, the industrial complex is the leader on salary growth dynamics among the regional mining and metallurgical industry.
– We should be proud that we work at such enterprise, – tells Leonid Anisimov, the Chairman of trade-union committee of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works – the Steel Works not only works stably, but also steadily develops, increases production, raises efficiency, quality and salaries, fulfils all social obligations. Our labour collective, from its part, should continue to work effectively and follow industrial, process and labour discipline.
For the first half of the year the Steel Works managed to increase production of the main types of product on 20% in comparison with the similar period of the last year, simultaneously reducing its production cost. For example, consumption of natural gas has decreased in 3-4 times – to 14-15 million cubic metres a month.
Besides, realisation of outstanding modernization projects with the ecological component is proceeding to completion: construction of a new pickling line in Cold Rolling Shop No. 1 and reconstruction of Blast furnace No. 4.
As Evgeniy Kartashov, the People’s Deputy of the Verhovnaya Rada of the seventh convocation tells, the Steel Works today is an example of successful, dynamical and socially responsible business.
– Not simple economic situation happened today in the country: the enterprises are closing down, there is a falling-off in production. However, even in such conditions we have achieved growth on iron, steel, rolled products production – underlines Rostislav Shurma, the CEO of “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works. – We have shown to everybody, and first of all to ourselves, that even in such difficult conditions we can work effectively if there is a will, desire and moral courage. We should keep this tempo also in the second half of the year. “Zaporizhstal” Steel Works is a stability in the region, in the country, in the industry. The Steel Works has tomorrow so, there is a future. I want to thank all for the results reached in the first half of 2014, and I believe that together we will be able to keep dynamics of sustainable development.
