Zaporizhstal Iron and Steel Works presented 613 sweet gifts to children of special comprehensive boarding schools “Oberih” and “Svitanok”, the regional centre of social and psychological rehabilitation of children, the regional specialized orphanage “Solnyshko” for St. Nicholas Day.
Children who study in these specialised educational institutions traditionally receive gifts from the Works for the holidays. Supporting the children is one of the main traditions of the Works. And in return they always make the representatives of the plant, who come to visit them, happy with performances and a concert. This time there was also a concert programme.
– Such support is very important because children are our future,” says Natalya Chaikovskaya, head of the trade union committee of the slab department of the hot-rolling shop. – There are no somebody else’s children. Moreover, Zaporizhstal annually helps to improve this orphanage. In addition to this year’s traditional aid, the Works also helped to purchase furniture for the institution.
