The “Zaporizhstal” plant of Metinvest Group, owned by Rinat Akhmetov and Vadym Novinsky, organized family leisure for displaced persons with children who managed to evacuate to Zaporizhzhia from Mariupol.
Competitions and various recreation areas were organized by the youth organization of the plant. At various locations, children had the opportunity to play “Guess the melody” and Elias, draw pictures on the asphalt and have fun in the rope maze. In total, more than 70 people attended the family holiday.
— We organized the family holiday with the support of the plant’s administration, Anatoliy Shirma, head of the Zaporizhstal plant’s youth organization, says. — We have a lot of internally displaced persons from Mariupol. Metinvest supports them a lot. In particular, it provides shelter, humanitarian aid and employment. And our youth organization does not sit idle. We hold various events, and today is one of them. I believe that such events distract from our difficult present, they should be held.
