Each year, five days of the donor take place at the Works, when workers can donate their blood to charity. On the holidays eve, 100 doses of donated blood were given on behalf of the Works to the hematology department of the regional children’s hospital.
– We have a good tradition at the Works. Every year on the New Year Eve, we visit the hematology department and give children doses of donated blood. This is what these children need primarily. We popularized blood donation at Zaporizhstal. We believe that with such actions we can support our children so that they can recover soon”, said Yaroslav Kryl.
In the hematology department of the regional children’s hospital, 26 children are still being treated. Patients receive intensive care and need replacement therapy with medicines and blood components. The blood provided by the Works is enough for three months of treatment.
