With the support of PJSC “Zaporizhstal” in the Dnieper River, another 1,200 spawning nests were installed

1200 artificial spawning nests were installed within the framework of ecological campaign of PJSC Zaporizhstal “Save the Dnieper together”. Installation of nests was held near Otradnoe village in the Volnaya gill

Install artificial nests is extremely important, because on the natural spawning grounds the percentage of eggs conservation is very low. There the eggs often dies and this is due to water drop, weather conditions and number of other factors. With the help of artificial spawning nests, the survival rate of eggs increases and the number of roach and other fish species in our local waters increases.

“We can talk about environmental woes all the time, but one moment when we just talk about them, and the other one is when we purposefully solve these problems and move forward”, said Igor Chernyak, Director of Industrial Safety PJSC “Zaporizhstal”. – The example of Zaporizhstal, which has been conducting an environmental campaign “Save the Dnieper Together!” for many years, confirms that here you should not just speak, but act.

In total, during the existence of the campaign, about seven thousand artificial spawning nests were installed. PJSC Zaporizhstal since 2012 provides organizational and financial support to the public environmental initiative “Save the Dnieper Together!”, which was proposed by public organizations, institutions and just indifferent citizens of Zaporozhye region, who are ready to contribute to the improvement of environment.
