Delegation of Teachers from All over Ukraine Has Visited PJSC “Zaporizhstal”

As part of the All-Ukrainian educational seminar, which was held in Zaporizhia city by the support of “Zaporizhstal”, fifty teachers from all over Ukraine have visited the works as an excursion.

Fifty teachers of special schools and kindergartens for children with visual impairments, and representatives of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine have attended the Central control room of plant and the Cold rolling shop №1.

In the Central control room of the works, the delegation was acquainted with the production chain of the plant, showed the main units – sinter machines equipped with the European gas cleaning system, the most modern and efficient Blast furnace No. 3, as well as Rolling shops.

In the Cold rolling shop No. 1, the excursion participants have been told about the operation of the CPL-4 pickling line, which provides environmentally friendly production without negative impact to the environment.

Participants of the excursion tour noted a high level of production ecological modernization.

“I have been living in Zaporizhia since 1991, but for the first time I visited “Zaporizhstal” works. I have heard many different things both about harm, and about how difficult working conditions are here. I can now say that the job here is really hard.  However, regarding harm, many people have outdated knowledge.  In recent years, great changes have taken place in production. I saw that now new technologies are being introduced at the plant and they really care about the environment”, – said Vasyl Zakhlyupny, a teacher of the Ukrainian language at the “Orientir” boarding school.

It should be noted, that “Zaporizhstal” works and the “Orientir” boarding school, based on which the seminar was held, are linked by many years of friendship and cooperation. In the framework of the contest “We are the city”, the works financed the construction of new sports grounds at the school, provided classes with multimedia equipment necessary for visually impaired children.
