On April 13, the eve of the Ukrainian Environment Day, workers of Zaporizhzhia enterprises of Metinvest, including "Zaporizhstal", "Zaporozhkoks", "Zaporozhogneupor", and Zaporizhzhia Foundry-Mechanical Plant, took part in the voluntary ecological action "Clean City".
More than 500 participants of the environmental campaign improved the green areas adjacent to the enterprises, putting everything in order in the Metallurgov Park named after V.A. Satskii and on the Baida Island. Volunteers cleaned up the garbage and dead wood, painted benches and ash cans, and landscaped flowerbeds. Indifferent citizens joined the green initiative of the metallurgists.
A total of 6 units of equipment were involved in the cleaning, and more than 5 hectares of territory were put in order and landscaped, resulting in the removal of about 50 tons of garbage.
Let us recall that annually, employees of Zaporizhzhia enterprises belonging to Metinvest take an active part in environmental campaigns “Clean City” and “Save the Dnieper together!”, during which green areas of Zaporizhzhia city are landscaped, trees and shrubs are planted, and the beach line and river bottom are cleared, as well as stocking of the Dnieper takes place.
